Well no, actually, I am the guy standing out on his balcony in shorts, in a lovely summer downpour.

The weather had been hot and close. In London, the hot weather often sits without a breeze. We’re not really used to it.

And finally, finally, the rain came this afternoon. Big blatting raindrops. I’d had a bit of a bad day, so I quickly changed into my shorts and rushed to my balcony, and just stood feeling the large cold drops run down me. It was exhilarating despite, or perhaps partly because, a couple of workers in a neighbouring office appeared to think it was odd for someone to be doing that.

Well, overall it was not quite as enjoyable as going puddle-jumping in such a deluge, but it was fun.
