Yesterday, I made cruel jibes about MS Word 2007’s new ‘Margin’ ribbon-bar button. Today I’ll look at the Ribbon Bar itself in more detail, and some of the other new features. Continue reading

One More Step to Obscurity (part 1)
I’ve just been looking into the new Microsoft Office 2007 UI changes information here, and also the specifics for Word 2007 here. Oooh – Ahhhh – Doesn’t it look pretty? Continue reading
SSK Mists are Clearing
Recently, I posted about my confusion over the MS Shareware Starter Kit. Well, the mists of confusion are lifting, a little. Continue reading
Whatever Happened to the Shareware Starter Kit?
In July 2005, Microsoft released a piece of software for Visual Studio .Net developers called the Shareware Starter Kit (SSK). A flurry of blog activity foillowed in the next few months about this news ~ but so far I have yet to find some real feedback on the kit. Hmmm. Continue reading

Although I am a big fan of MS Word, I will also cover some of the Styles-related stupidities that Microsoft introduced along the way… Continue reading
Data is not like Sheep
I hate it when I hear or read phrases like ‘these data’. It looks, feels and sounds plain wrong to me, and if not wrong then clumpy and turgid, like something you’d regret stepping in. Continue reading
